If you’re planning a trip to Paris, one of the first decisions you’ll need to make is which airport to fly into. With three major airports to choose from, each with its own advantages and disadvantages, it can be difficult to know which one is the best. In this blog post, we’ll explore the pros and cons of each airport, and help you decide which one is right for you.

1️⃣ The Best Airport- Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

Charles de Gaulle Airport, also known as Roissy Airport, is the largest and busiest airport in France, and one of the busiest airports in the world. It is located 23 kilometers (14 miles) northeast of Paris, and is served by numerous airlines from around the world.

Pros:

-CDG offers the most flights and destinations of the three airports, making it a good choice for travelers who want a lot of options.
-It has excellent transport connections to Paris, including the RER B train, which can take you to the city center in under an hour.
-CDG has a wide range of shops, restaurants, and other amenities for travelers.

Cons:

-CDG can be very crowded, especially during peak travel periods.

2️⃣ My Favourite Paris Airport- Paris-Orly airport

VIEW ON MAP

Orly Airport is the second-largest airport in Paris, located 13 kilometers (8 miles) south of the city. It is primarily used for domestic and European flights, but also offers some intercontinental flights.

Pros:

-Orly is smaller and less crowded than CDG, making it a good choice for travelers who want a more relaxed airport experience.
-It is closer to Paris than CDG, so it can be quicker to get to the city center.
-Orly has a new terminal that is modern and well-designed, with plenty of amenities.

Cons:

-Orly has fewer flights and destinations than CDG, so it may not be a good choice if you need a lot of options.
-Transport connections to Paris can be more limited than at CDG, with no direct train service to the city center.

3️⃣ The Worst Paris Airport- Aéroport Paris-Beauvais

VIEW ON MAP

Beauvais Airport is located 85 kilometers (53 miles) north of Paris, and is primarily used by low-cost airlines. It is the smallest and least busy of the three airports.

Pros:

-Beauvais is the cheapest airport to fly into, with many budget airlines serving the airport.
-It can be a good choice for travelers who are visiting Paris on a tight budget.

Cons:

-Beauvais is the farthest airport from Paris, so it can take a long time to get to the city center.
-The transport connections to Paris can be limited and unreliable, with no direct train service.
-Beauvais is very small, so there are limited amenities for travelers.

In conclusion, each of the three airports has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the best choice depends on your individual needs and preferences. If you need a lot of flight options and don’t mind crowds, CDG may be the best choice. If you want a more relaxed airport experience and are willing to sacrifice some flight options, ORY may be the way to go. And if you’re on a tight budget and don’t mind a long journey into the city, BVA may be the most affordable option.
